Also known as Durif, the grape is a cross between Syrah and Peloursin and has been grown in Northern California for years. This wine will age for a solid 6 more years in the bottle and is inky dark in color, with a nose of pepper and dark fruit. The wine is complex, but not overpowering and has jammy/ripe fruit upon the first taste. The wine has aromas of vanilla, oak from our french barrels, blackberry, blueberry along with notes of light pepper. On the palate, rich tannins complement the sweet berry-like flavors and the acidity is smooth.
