Adam and Tamera both helped taste and decide on this combination of 40% Estate Cabernet, 35% Old Vine Zinfandel and 25% Petit Sirah. This 2016 vintage spent 18 months in barrel, has amazing depth on the nose and will solidly lay for 10 years. We used mostly new French oak, but also new American Oak to age this wine, which grabs the best from all 3 varietals, while maintaining a nice smooth, yet complex finish. We have to admit, the complexity of this wine from nose through finish, without being overpowering, even surprised us. This wine has a dark hue, firm tannins and enjoys flavors of currant, plum, black cherry and spice.
